It’s that time of year again, Nanny Appreciation week!
For numerous weeks our nannies have been working hard for our families. They have given many hugs, encouragement, band-aids, boo-boo kisses, have made a million sandwiches and have given our parents a welcomed break. Now it is time for us to give back to our wonderful nannies.
Here are some ways that you can show your nanny how much you appreciate her time and effort.
Write a Letter
Everyone loves to receive a hand-written letter or card from the heart. Words can be powerful and hearing that your work is noticed and appreciated is something that would be cherished.
This is a great way to give a gift. You can give a Visa gift card in which your nanny can choose how she wants to use it, or give a card to her favorite restaurant or barista.
Your nanny will love to have a break of her own. Check out local events and activities that she will love to attend.
Let your nanny enjoy a date night of her own! Provide a gift certificate that will cover dinner for two.
Bake a Treat
Have the kids help you bake some cookies or brownies for their favorite caregiver. Your nanny will appreciate the time and thought that the whole family put into the delicious gift.
Put together an assortment of different things that your nanny will love. Include a cute coffee mug, fuzzy socks, candy, and yummy treats.
Though this may be a pricier option, providing a membership that your nanny could use year-round would be a great gift that keeps on giving.
Have fun and be creative this week saying “Thank You” to your favorite nanny!
